It's because they take things for granted. For example, a man might have a loyal and loving girlfriend but he doesn't treat her as he should. Therefore the girlfriend leaves him, and only then does he realise how loyal and loving she was.

They don't take the time to look at what they have to be thankful for. Taking some time to count the good things in your life can make all the difference!
