Do you think I could grow an avocado tree in Las Vegas?
I want to grow a fruit tree. My first choice is avocado with lemon/lime second. I'm wondering how hard it would be to grow one. Our dirt isn't the greatest. Do I need to be concerned with the extreme heat? We rarely freeze. Thanks!

I think you will have problems with the heat and the wind I would recommend you try a deciduous fruit tree lek peach nectarine, apircot or plum. There are varities of those sutied to your climate Check with a reputable nursery in your area for more advice.

Both are acceptable in Las Vegas. If you want an avocado, Buy one hybridized and not from seed ,as it will probably never fruit. Citrus trees, maintained properly, bear very well
