Are we headed for a second Guilded Age?

Social historians especially, will history repeat itself? I mean, of course you can't know for sure but are the trends pointing towards that? Or maybe are we already there?

    The gilded age was an extreme example of issues in economic chasms. This level of economic disparity will likely never occur again, at least not in the foreseeable future. The middle class is stronger now, and most jobs are union and wage protected.
