How far will Obama's administration go to increase the TSA's power?

The TSA is a load of bullsh*t. They have never stopped a terrorist attack from occurring, it is more of a security theatre. The recent announcement of surgically implanted bombs is just a way for the TSA to say, "this is why you need us" and "this is why you need to fund us". And people who don't fly very often need to recognize that these advanced screening procedures aren't helping at all. I was at the airport the other day and a women proclaimed "i've never been to an airport before, but now, i am assured the flying is safe, and I used to be scared of flying, but because of these procedures, I am not anymore". Brainwashed.

I've been to Israel three times before to visit a friend. They are way more thorough, more than the US, but in a different way. When you get to the airport, they know everything about you. In Israel, you never have to remove your shoes, or go through a full body scanner, or get groped. Because of one thing, racial profiling.

If enough Americans protest TSA, and get their Federal representatives to push for policies that dismantle or cut back TSA, then whoever is president might indeed curb TSA.

However, any politician who advocates curtailing TSA is likely to be heavily attacked by Conservative legislators and pundits.

I think the first move has to come from Conservative and Republican legislators before Obama can weaken TSA.

Obama likes to watch the tapes of the strip searches of the 6 year old girls.
