Who will be the first goaltender to become a member of the Triple Gold Club?

Luongo needs a Cup, Fleury and Brodeur both need a World Championship... those are the only goalies I can think of that are relatively close.

BQ: Which of the 3 championships is the most prestigious/hardest to win?

BQ2: What is your most prestigious award/title/trophy?

I'm going to go with Luongo. He came awfully close this past year, I think he can do it.

BQ: Stanley Cup, the best of the best play there

BQ2: I won a burping contest a few years ago.

Luongo. I doubt Brodeur ever plays in another WC because he is 40 and really doesn't need it. And for Fleury to get it he has too miss the playoffs which isn't likely with Crosby, Letang, Malkin and Staal on the team. Even if they did and Fleury got invited I do not like their chances because the last 2 years they send the shittiest team possible. The Canucks will remain a good team and are definitely the favourites to win it all next year.

BQ: Olympic Medal. You play against the worlds best after a week to prepare and you actually have to MAKE the team first.

BQ2: Personal achievement? LOL a 6th place National ranking in Canada for Chess for my age group when I was 13. Never was great at hockey, just an above average goalie.

It will either be Luongo or Fleury. I go for the Devils and I love Brodeur, but I just don't think he will play in the World Championships again. And I think that the Canucks will win the Stanley Cup next year, so most likely Luongo.

Fleury all the way! But that would mean them not making the playoffs... Hmmm... Maybe after they win the cup 4 out of the next 6 years, then they'll suck and Fleury can play in the WC with Crosby and Letang and Staal and win! But joking aside, Luongo has the best chance of them all, as he came within a game of doing it a few weeks ago, and the Canucks are favorites for the next season as well.

Brodeur isn't playing any more WCs I imagine, he's almost 40 and hasn't played one since 2005.

Since Fleury would have to play for Canada, a team whose best players tend to be in the payoffs when the WCs start, I have to say Luongo is likely to be next.

Not because I'm a Canucks fan, but because the following players are likely to skip the WC next year based on history or playoff likeliness: Crosby, Nash, Luongo, Brodeur, Iginla, Richards, Richards, Price, Pronger, etc. Canada's WC presence sucks right now because of this.

    BQ: Stanley Cup, no question.

BQ2: TA of the year at my university :)
