yesmar, God { Christ Jesus } is the final judge of us all. But he does no dole out punishment here on earth, we punish ourselves when we live in rebellion to his word. But when Jesus returns as he tells us in scriptures, one of which is Revelation 1:8 " I am the Alpha and the Omega says the Lord God. Who is, who was and who is to Come the Almighty." At this time we all will be judged. Paul tells us in his letter to the Church in Rome; Romans 6:23 " The wages of sin is death but the {gift} of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

don't be afraid. God isn't out to get you. he's no longer gonna deliver the airplane crashing to the floor. bypass to God, it is risk-free. it is high-quality. Jesus took the punishment for you already. purely tell God you sinned and as quickly as you do, he will forgive you. I John a million:9 If we confess our sins, he's honest and easily to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath no longer appointed us to wrath, yet to receive salvation by using our Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 8:a million there is hence now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus, who walk no longer after the flesh, yet after the Spirit. God loves you better than you could ever think of. it's going to be ok. he's no longer this massive propose vicious psycho in the sky no count how lots the Atheists opt to have faith it.

he disciplines us Heb. 12:7- Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? 8 If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. 9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! 10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Yes, there are consequences for our actions and choices . (Thankfully, there are positive consequences for positive choices!) Scripture says that He also avenges and that vengeance is His. That's a form of punishment as well. Scripture also says that God chastens those He loves. God does everything for a reason. Because He is love, that's the basis of everything He does. Sometimes, the consequences teach about lack of love. (attitudes)

I believe and hope some people are punished for some of the stuff they have committed. I am talking about serial rapists/murders child molesters. People who hurt others. Liars. Adulterers.

Hell is a man made concept and not taught in the bible.

God has promised those who love Him that at the end of this system, they will be restored to perfection and be able to live in peace and harmony forever. He will not let anyone interfere with that plan ever again.

Those individuals who want to cause trouble for others will simply disappear. They have had plenty of warning and the bible tells you not to feel sorry for them.

Hmm, I reckon that people punish themselves today and in the future via the conceptualisation of God which tends to engender in them a sense of guilt re: their failings.

Nope. If anything, we punish ourselves through guilt.

Plus, life has never been fair. That bed of roses we live in -- there are thorns and challenges, but help us gain strength of character.

If you are a Christian and God is dealing with you, then yes, we are punished or "chastised" for our sins.

1Ti 5:24 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.

Deu_8:5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.

Heb_12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Heb_12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
