Twilight zone hypothetical. Imagine if you will. You now live in a world where the desire in anyone to...?

acquire or possess any more in the way of material wealth than anyone else is seen as a terrible psychological abnormality comparable to the desire to rape, kill or molest children.

What do you think this world would be like? Would it be better or worse? In what ways? Why?

Better. Greed at any cost promotes deceit and dishonesty; no responsibility or integrity due to the overwhelming self-interest. You can rationalize anything under that system...for what? To have more cars and shoes than the next richest a$$hole?

I don't think it should be demonized like that, however. But under the circumstances of your question, I think we might begin to find honor and purpose in efficiency and beauty; dedicate our lives to the wonder of each other...much like some eastern philosophies. It would definitely be better than the spoiled brats and their tantrums that we have now.

We would all die. We would be discouraged from acquiring food, for the same reason we don't go around raping and killing people. Food was the original form of wealth in human civilization.

    Sounds worse to me.
