Want to hear a plausible theory on why the world will end on December 21, 2012?

Currently, politicians in Washington DC are trying to make decisions about the USA debt. If they cant reach an agreement and default on the loans,(or decide to print a lot of money to pay off the debt and cause super inflation) there will be a economic catastrophe. Like pre-WWII Germany. It would spread around the world. And when people are desperate they let stupid and crazy people do stupid and crazy things (ex: Hitler). So imagine this the USA defaults and the world economy implodes. Everyone goes nuts and elect crazy people in 2012 elections who have crazy ideas. Maybe there are wars for oil, security, money, etc. Maybe we owe China so much that we have a war over it. If poorer countries get any poorer (like Mexico) they will try to raid and launch a war against the richer countries (the USA). Imagine that, in desperation Mexico and others attack us. Other countries with nukes may join in and attack other countries. Some rivals like the koreas or china and japan or india and pakistan, or isreal and palestine, may just attack each other because this is the right time/politicians will scapegoat. The world will be chaos and civil wars/unrest will break out across every country in the midst of international war. So basically everyones shooting at each other to try and scavnege what they can. So somewhere along these lines sombodies gonna shoot a nuke. And then were all gonna shoot nukes, and the world will be covered in fallout and stuff. Even without the nukes, a world of international war sounds pretty apocalyptic. So December 2012 is not long after the elections and i trust you know they are important and that high tensions exist both between nations and between our fellow countrymen. If the 'wrong' candidate makes it into office or says or does something piss off just after getting elected, there could be a civil war to start things, or another country could attack. Maybe Dec 21 just happens to be the day the nukes finally go off. Well, this was fun to think up. Its all highly improbbable ofcoarse but it would make a cool sci-fi book or something.

The world won't end in 2012. The Mayan Prophecy says nothing about the world ending. It only states that December 21, 2012, will be the end of one era and the beginning of a new one.

The worst thing that's likely to happen in 2012 is a giant solar storm that will effect the entire planet. All the orbiting satellites could be fried and the power grid could go down for a few months. A similar super storm happened in 1859. But without satellites or anything that used electricity, we weren't effected much. If you live near a natural water source and don't mind being without electricity for a few months, you'll be fine.

There are no plausible theories on why the world will end on December 21, 2012. But yours is more plausible that mystery invisible planets, magical alignments and the law of gravity mysteriously changing.

Well, Americans are only 5% of the world, but that actually makes MORE sense than the real 2012 conspiracy theories, lol!

Perhaps it's only the SPORTS world ,as we know it ,that will end!
