  • Should Gingrich and Paul just drop out so Santorum can pass Romney?

Let's face the facts! Americans vote on enthusiasm and charisma! We voted on who looks cool and sounds the most promising!

Young Independent voters are not going to flock to an "Old gray-haired Republican," that fits the stereotype of the GOP!

This is just the truth! Most people on here are politically educated, but try to go to a hair salon, bar, or Walmart (jk) and talk about politics. People don't have a clue what they are talking about, and when it comes time to vote they go for the "cooler looking" candidate.

So this is a contest between who is "cooler" Obama vs Santorum, or Obama vs Romney!!!

So, Should Gingrich and Paul just drop out so Santorum can pass Romney and win the "who is cooler" vote?

  • Is it fair that in a Primary, the other Party can vote for who they want to run against the Incumbent Party?

I know in 2008, Republicans were registering as Democrats and voting for Clinton, because they felt McCain would have a better chance at beating her.

With the Republican Primary coming up next year, Democrats will play the same politics of course, but who will they be voting for? Is this fair?

  • Are the 2012 'End of the World' stories isolated to the US only?

I've been to a few other countries and never hear anyone talk about it! Is it just the US that believe this?

  • Why do extreme Christian groups stock pile food and water for the end of the world?

I thought they believed if they are good Christians they would be taken up to Heaven before the end? Isn't this contradicting to belief?

  • What is a good "unbias" and "nonpartisan" political source?

I'm trying to find one because most people on here just hear someone from the media and take it for fact, then regurgitate it to the sheep!

    Is factcheck.org a good one?

  • What do most people vote on when picking a president?

    A) Their policies (remember Obama campaigning on closing GITMO)

    B) Their age (remember McCain looked like he could die making Palin president...still alive I think)

    C) Their ability to sound like they will accomplish great things (Obama is great at this)

    D) Their party (do people just vote down the party line on everything?)

    E) Their "coolness" (the media can really help a candidate out by making them cool in the eyes of the people)

    F) Their VP pick (remember McCain actually lost votes because of his pick)

    G) <fill in the blank>

  • Should a marriage license have an expiration date?

    In my state:

    Hunting/fishing license expires every year

Pharmacy Tech/CNA/Cosmetologist expires about every 3 years

Drivers license about every 10 years

You have to renew every kind of license given out from business, firearms, liquor, pilot, and racing.

So why is the marriage license a, "1 time done deal for life?" Not even the army has a contract like that! Divorce is such a terrible thing to go through, both emotionally and financially. Having couples renew a license every 3 years or so, would generate more revenue for the courts, and local and state governments.

  • How far away is a rainbow after a storm?

Every rainbow I've ever seen after a storm and when the sun shines through, seems to be at the same distance each time. I would estimate about 400-500 meters. Also, it remains the same distance away from you as you move closer, hence the reason you never find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

So I was wondering if there was a constant for this distance that light has to be from the sun reflecting back through the prism of a raindrop, to the viewer in order to create the rainbow.

  • Why does the media choose to report as little as possible about Ron Paul, when...?

...Ron Paul has been winning nearly every poll I've seen. He won the Foxnews Poll shortly after the debate, and now the yahoo poll.

    http://dailybail.com/home/nationwide-fox-news-poll...

    http://news.yahoo.com/ex-minn-gov-tim-pawlenty-end...

Sorry, can't really find the actual Foxnews poll I saw the other day. Even though Bachmann won the Straw Poll, you can't hold merit on that. She was born in Iowa, so of course she'd have a large amount of support. But as you know, she only won by less then 200 votes to Ron Paul. SO WHY THE LITTLE COVERAGE ON MR. PAUL?

(Please refrain from call Ron Paul a nutjob, because he is obviously smarter than you)

  • Conservatives/Liberals: Do you ever go to the other sides medias to follow the news?

Conservatives do you ever tune in CNN/MS-NBC/Chris Matthews/New York Times?

Liberals do you ever tune in FOX NEWS/Rush/Hannity?

I find it fascinating to watch or listen to the other side. Really gives me the perspective on why I believe in the values I do!

  • Has the media already picked the GOP candidate to run against Obama?

It seems like every article I read on the Web, Newspaper, or segment watched on TV...they focus on how Romney did. Even pictures of GOP debates, and video coverage all show him with more face time then the rest of the candidates. As I watched the debate tonight (streamed from the internet FOXNEWS) Ron Paul led the approval rating in every single question he was asked. Even the poll afterwards favored Ron Paul. But who gets all the coverage? Mitt Romney and Michelle Bachman. Is this the Republican ticket already chosen for us by the media?

  • What is the best program for burning *.avi files to a DVD?

I have the latest version of NERO and with this it is a hit or miss. Sometimes it will burn, but most I'll get an error about 30 secs from completion; rendering my DVD useless.

I have Windows DVD Maker on my Windows 7 Ulimate x64, and It burns every time, just the ratio is always 4:3, even if I set it to 16:9....doesn't matter I have to zoom in on each movie to make it fit within the screen.

I have conversion programs like AVS, so I can convert to any format...just still have the same problem no matter what.

I've also used DVD authoring programs like Adobe Encore, or Sony Vegas Pro...and both start to burn, then say they cannot burn the .avi format.

My burner is a Lite-on x16 DVD/CD and is fairly new, so I don't think that is the problem because like I said, it is hit and miss with Nero, and burns everytime with WDM, minus screen ratio.

So what's out there...what's the best?

  • Monitor has no signal now?

I'm trying to repair a friends computer, and ruling out option of this problem. The problem is the PC turns on, but the monitor is no getting any signal. Things I've tried:

    1) I've used a new monitor (actually 3 different monitors to plug into the on board VGA slot)

    2) Tried switching cables (actually all 3 cable I have work on other PC's)

    3) Installed 2 different types of video cards and tried all 3 monitors (still nothing)

    4) reseated and switched out the RAM

    5) placed the HDD in a working PC and it works just fine

Now I don't know what to do to get this thing on. Any ideas?

  • Want to hear a plausible theory on why the world will end on December 21, 2012?

First off, NFL and the NBA will be locked out starting this year and carrying into the next. There are talks about a NHL lock out as well. So are we left with Baseball now? People will go nuts just from watching that!

  • How can a coroner rule a death "Homicide", but not be able to give the cause of death?

(I don't need opinions here on the Anthony case...this is a logical question)

There are 4 ways to die: by homicide, by suicide, by accident, or naturally! Usually you have to know (not speculate) the cause of death in order to rule it right?

Example: He died of heart failure therefore it was a natural death.

Example: She died of a self inflicting gun wound therefore it was a suicide.

  • Is it not odd to find such diversity in voting on the funding for Libya?

238-180; with 89 Republicans against it (to cut funds) and 102 Democrats for it (to continue funds)! I thought all Republicans were WAR MONGERS and all Democrats were against WAR?

  • What benefits do ex-presidents of the United States get, and do they get them if they resign?

Seems kind of unfair that all technically one has to do is; be a natural born citizen over 35 years of age who has lived here for 14 years; get elected; and resign the day after inauguration!
