Why does Acts 26:23 claim Jesus was the first to rise from the dead?

What about Lazarus? Jairus's daughter? The widow's son from Luke 7:12-15?

Update:

"That the Christ must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to the people and to the Gentiles." (Acts 26:23)

First in rank but not in chronology. He was the Divine Son of the Living God.

They all died again. Lazarus, for example, did not walk out of the tomb by any human ability, including his own, but rather by the will of God when he was commanded by Jesus. Christ arose from the dead and later ascended to the Father and did not die. Acts 13:34 states that Christ arose from the dead, never to decay. What is prophesied is that Christ will raise up of the dead in Him, to a permanent resurrection in which the body will not die. Jesus is the first to be raised from the dead, never to die. You would need to read Acts in fuller context to understand its meaning rather than isolating a single verse.

    Peace be with you.

Christ was raise never to die again he is the first fruits of the Resurrection because he was resurrect we all will have the same blessing. Those you mention were just raised from the dead but they died again Christ never will die again nor will anyone else that have been resurrected. It is not the same thing at all besides those where Christ's miracles.

It's talking about his body being resurrected. Those people were made alive by human standards but there bodies still died later.

Everyone who died before Jesus' resurrection, was sent to Abraham's bosom. Jesus was the first to be resurrected.
