Is this how creationist "logic" works?
Is this how creationist "logic" works?
I'm too tired to expand upon this analogy, so help me out:
"When you shake a box of marbles, and then open it, the marbles form a lattice. Evolutionists think this is purely random. But clearly god is in the box, hastily arranging the marbles."

What they say is, using your example," When you shake a box of marbles, and they all fall into a table, that God somehow planned each of the marbles to fall into the exact place." Real world logic knows God allows free will, and the marbles fall where it's determined by gravity. Some Creationists believe in intelligent falling.

No, that's how atheistic sarcasm works.
If you want to grasp the logic of scientists who believe that God created the universe and planet Earth over billions of years, read the book below. Oh, and those 15 scientists in that book are all Christians.
And the second book below is written by a scientist who is not a Christian, but he has come to realise that Genesis chapter 1 must have been conveyed to Moses by.... God! And that the order of creation is scientifically accurate. He concludes that Moses could not have had a clue about any scientific correctness in his written creation account
"As such, unprovided with evidence of any kind, the creation account on the Bible's opening page might be assumed a fantasy. But the Genesis Enigma has told us that those enigmatic phrases that ignite the Bible actually mean something - they are scientifically accurate. That would be an outrageous assertion, were it not true. The conclusion is that this page of the Bible could, perhaps more than any other, represent God's hand in the Bible. The true account of how we came to exist may have been handed to humans by God.
"In any case, our strong preconception that science has, with each discovery, chipped away at the notion of God is proved wrong in this book. Now we can live with the real possibility that God exists while fully accepting science, rather than straining to find contradictions. Faith suddenly appears that much stronger."
There's scientific logic for you, and isn't it sound?

Religion teaches us that faith can move mountains.
Reality teaches us it works a whole lot better with dynamite.
