Bankruptcy attorneys in the state of MO? reduced and or free assistance?
My wife and I are in deep deep financial crisis. We are almost loosing our home and we're no longer able to pay for it. We met with a Bankruptcy attorney who needed 1,300 before starting to file our case for Chpter 7. We at this time do not have that kind of money at this time. Anyone out there have any reference to reduced fee bankruptcy attorneys??

Everyone looking at filing bankruptcy thinks that they should be able to qualify for reduced fees, but bankruptcy lawyers are... LAWYERS! And they are running a business. They have to pay rent, and staff, and utilities, insurance, etc. They can't work for free.
No attorney does "reduced fee" or pro bono bankruptcy work unless the client is in an extraordinary situation. Just "being broke" isn't good enough.
