can clove oil burns cause blisters?

i put some on the other day for a sore tooth and now i have blisters on my mouth and gums

Update:

i used eugenol oil which came as part of a tooth repair kit, maybe i used too much of it? the eugenol oil contains clove tho :/

    Did you dilute it? You are supposed to dilute essential oils before any other use than aromatherapy. If you did, you may be allergic. Regardless, you may want to see a doctor.

    You should go to the doctor as soon as possible, just to be safe. And always, always, always make sure you research products like this before using them.
