Unique Wedding Reception Venue?
I am looking for a unique wedding venue in the Farmington Hills area. Date is October 22 and will have about 75 people, food and drink. Would love to just do something different the second time around. Something unique, memorable, cool. I sure don't want the standard three meats/two pastas buffet kind of thing. Give me some ideas! Thanks!
Robbie - An example of a middle eastern restuarant that would do this?
A vineyard would be JUST the kind of thing I'd like - but I am tied to the church in F. Hills.

I have successfully "rented" a local middle eastern restaurant for several events. They closed the dining area to me, but maintained their carryout business. Food quality was higher as they knew the volume before hand. Most Middle eastern CUISINE also can be prepared before hand and not have quality issue allowing the establishment to handle the 75 customers without timing issues. They are motivated to do this as they get a guarantied volume of business for the time frame. You also will have a better chance to be able to book your date. You will have to compromise on the starting time of your event as they are keeping the regular business open to a certain point and allowing you to have the night hours.
I would try them all as you don't know which one will be receptive at that time. Unfortionately the one I have used La Basha closed and became something else. Try 2booli (they have a liquor license), La Marsa, Green Olives, Al Ameer.

Make this unique Miracle Mile property in Los Angeles to be your wedding venue. This could be the perfect place for your dream wedding. A mansion looks house that can make your wedding unique!
If ever you want another option, just click the link that I provided below. Lights on Location, an online property resource that allows people to find event venues listed for rent by owners of properties. Good Luck!!!

You could have your reception at the Detroit Zoo. There is a hall there that is available to rent for special occasions such as weddings. A friend of mine got married there and it was amazing. Plus the photo shoot based around the zoo was unique and gorgeous. Another option would be to rent out the Detroit Princess ship for your reception. Its a fun venue that every guest will love and always remember. However, good luck booking any venue for October! A little last minute..
