Why do people get on here and ask medical questions, knowing they really need to go to a doctor?

Hardly anyone has health coverage anymore. It's only for full-time (40+ hrs a week) employees, and most companies are making sure employees only have 38 or 39.5 hour weeks at the most so they don't have to pay benefits. Even if you do have coverage, the co-pays are expensive, and the wait times are very long. No insurance means about $100 to $150 just to get in to see a doctor, and the costs add up from there.
