As a former Republican (1971-2003) I would have to say the current batch is on a scale of 1-10 a 25.

You mean when the republicans shared power with the democrats in 2004. When Bush gave Ted Kennedy the means to control the education bill when the republicans were in power. When McCain stopped key ads in the 2008 presidential election because he thought that it was unfair to Obama.

Well there's a difference between radical republicans. and moderate reps.. radical reps. usually are the history no change lovers and wish to stick with the old ways. Moderate reps. on the other hand tend to want a little change involved.

They are neck and neck with the Dems in arrogance. It is just the way of politicians. It is naive to believe in any purity in politics.
