When some of you say "tax the rich," what is the starting point of being "rich?"?
I'm just curious to see what people's concept of wealthy is. What is your idea of rich?
Troy: Boy, what part of "curious" do you not understand? Take a breath.

Many people confuse "rich" with "high income". If you want to tax the rich, you'd need to implement some form of property tax or something like that to tax their assets rather than an income tax.

My concept of someone being "wealthy", "rich", is anyone who is worth a billion dollars. My mother's estate is worth $250,000, and I don't consider her "rich". Many of my relatives earn $250,000 a year at their jobs, and I don't consider them "rich". My husband and I live on Social Security benefits, a small pension my husband receives from his employer of 20 years, and what I earn as a substitute teacher. Our yearly income is between $26,000 to $30,000 a year.

In 1913 when everyone was in favor of income taxes, because it was only on the rich, rich was $10,000. Now we all pay. It's called unintended consequences.

When you make more than 95% of America. How's that sound? 250k ought to put you there.
And we're only talking 3% more on anything over 250. Quit being such a drama queen
