When some of you say "tax the rich," what is the starting point of being "rich?"?
I'm just curious to see what people's concept of wealthy is. What is your idea of rich?
7 AnswersGovernment10 years agoHelp with e-books for college / E-books on Droid?
I'm 29 and going back to college. Things have changed a bit since I started right after high school (then left to start a family.) There are e-books available now that are less expensive than the regular text books. Has anybody used an e-book in college instead of the regular text? If so, what were the pros/cons? Have you used the e-book feature on the Droid? If so, can you tell me more about how that works? Thanks in advance!
1 AnswerGoogle10 years agoBuilding a steel home?
We are looking at our options for building an inexpensive home. We have seen advertisements for the steel home kits, but are unsure of how to do something like that. We want to spend our money on several acres and building a large home, without a lot of frills. If you have done this before, can you tell me if it saves much money, compared to building a traditional home? What problems should we be aware of? Energy efficiency? Durability? Any information from somebody with experience in this area is appreciated.
2 AnswersOther - Home & Garden1 decade agoDon't you hate it when people get on Yahoo Answers just to make themselves feel better?
I swear, some people are pathetic. They will ask a question, you give an honest answer, and they pick the answer that boosts their ego the most, not the answer they really needed. Does this annoy anybody else?
4 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoDo people associated with PETA realize how many things are made from animals?
Check out this page: http://www.ofac.org/issues/animals_everyday.php
Things like tires, asphalt, medical supplies, laundry detergent and matches are made from animals. I know that the PETA folks don't want us to eat animals, but are we supposed to not drive our cars or wash our clothes? Your thoughts...
1 AnswerOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoWhat are some unique disciplines for a 4 (almost 5) year old?
My son is 4 and has been acting up in his karate class and at daycare. Two days ago he had to go outside and pick up pine cones from around the trees in the yard. Yesterday at karate, the instructor had to sit him out for a few minutes. We went home and I made him rake in the back yard. He's not hitting, yelling or being violent, he's just goofing off at karate and backtalking and not listening at daycare.
2 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoJaw/Mouth Pain after Temporary Crown Put In?
I had two temporary crowns put in a couple of weeks ago. They were both on the right side. One was the top, back molar, the other was the bottom back molar. The dentist said they didn't need root canals. Since then, I have been taking ibuprofen 2-3 times a day and have been in for 2 bite adjustments because my jaw is really hurting. He said that even a few 'microns' can make a difference and cause pain. He said he thought the pain was muscular. My jaw hurts from the joint near my ear and sometimes the pain travels down to my front bottom tooth. Any ideas?
What about when the permanent crown comes in? Will it still hurt? This really stinks because it didn't even hurt when I went in for my checkup and cleaning. Now it's constant pain.
4 AnswersDental1 decade agoHas anyone used the OwnerBuilder Network or anything similar, where you are the contractor to build your home?
We've been looking to build a house and there are several programs out there where you can be your own general contractor. You take a series of classes and they 'support you' the whole time. You pay the company $4.95 per square foot and get into their special pricing and list of sub contractors. Has anybody done this? If so, what do you think?
