you can buy wedding trivia games, like these:

or,you could make it yourself - questions about you,the groom and your relationship.the table with the highest score wins a bottle of champagne!

Most likely the reception will go fast because there's plenty of things to do. There's things to do that require guest participation so that keeps them a little entertained. They have Polaroid guest books so you can leave a Polaroid camera on a table with the guest book and the guests take pictures and put them in the book with their good wishes. Something we are doing is we are setting a photo booth which will give our guests one more activity. If you do an escort card table you could put pictures of your parents when they got married, your fiances parents and a couple of when you were little. That's another thing guests will love and another thing to talk about. Hope this helps!

I adore Martha Stewart Weddings, and I know they have some good ideas for wedding conversation starters, like these: (what's great about most of them is you can download the art for them and do it yourself)
This is one where a card is slipped into each person's napkin at the table, and there is an interesting fact about each person to the right and left of them:

This one is cute....it's more if you want specific people to meet each other (like if you're trying to set them up or something):

Those are a couple of my favorites, but here is a list of links for good ideas for you:
