What should I wear to this potluck?

I'm using my mom's account but here's the question:

I need to attend a potluck gathering in a few weeks. It's a meet & greet for all the new students and professors in my grad school major. I think it's a cool idea that the college does this!!

I need to go shopping (YAY!) but need some ideas of what to wear?

I'm 22 and petite, size 3 but I don't want a young college girl look - something kinda sophisticated but appropriate for this type of gathering.

Oh...and what kinda dish can I take to this potluck event??

    A sleeveless woven blouse, tailored with a collar and jeans and maybe a cardigan sweater. It's a casual affair.

    Bring potato salad; everyone loves a potato salad.

    It's summer, bring something cool and light.

    This is a pretty fruit platter that would look nice on the table. Plus, it's healthy.
