I recently bought a dress (see link below) but in a lapis blue color (terrific color for me).

For a dressy look I can accessorize with pearls and for a more fun look, I'll accessorize with red beads and red pumps.

However... what about a work look? I am a mid-level manager so need a professional polished look.

What color scarf would you suggest? Links would be helpful.

By the way... I'm a young mid-50's but prefer age appropriate...

A gentleman friend has asked me to be his 'date' to a wedding of his nephew. Unfortunately, he doesn't know a lot about the wedding. He thinks it is outdoors at a farm setting so I am assuming somewhat casual. I am at a loss of what to wear I do not want to be over-dressed or go tooo casual.

I need to attend a potluck gathering in a few weeks. It's a meet & greet for all the new students and professors in my grad school major. I think it's a cool idea that the college does this!!

I need to go shopping (YAY!) but need some ideas of what to wear?

I'm 22 and petite, size 3 but I don't want a young college girl look - something kinda sophisticated but appropriate for this type of gathering.

Oh...and what kinda dish can I take to this potluck event??

Wedding will be pretty formal event (fiance's wish). I narrowed down dress options and posted on another question. Fiance will wear his black tux.

Colors scheme is with black and white as color scheme. He wishes a ultra-elegant "look" to the event.

I came across this little poem. When you get stressed and overwhelmed by the planning, pull it out and read it!

My good friend went into preterm labor which the doctor got to stop but now she's been placed on bedrest and is bored to pieces.

She's undecided between ultra formal evening wedding with black bridesmaid dresses

or late afternoon - but can't come up with a color scheme.

She hasn't decided on her dress - she is leaning toward a sheath or slim a-line with lots of lace.

Why is it that it's perfectly acceptable for a bride to pay $500 - $5,000 or more for her wedding outfit yet a groom should only pay $150 - $250 for his wedding outfit??

Why do people feel the need to give their children wild and unique names? Or...worse cutesy names that are adorable for a 2-year-old but ?? for a 45 professional man or woman.

Do parents not think that their child will have to grow up with a weird name that they will constantly have to help people with spelling, pronouncing??

Our neighbors welcomed a new baby into their family about two weeks ago. I want to make some food that the family can either put in the freezer to pull out at a later date or make for a quick/easy dinner. There are two other toddlers in the house. It's been 20+ years since I've had a toddler in the house so I'm looking for ideas.

Have people ever really worn bridesmaid dresses AGAIN? I know I have several in my closet that I've never ever worn again. I can see that one might wear a black dress again but for the most part, I don't think most bridesmaid dresses are worn again.
