How would you accessorize?

Question

I recently bought a dress (see link below) but in a lapis blue color (terrific color for me).
For a dressy look I can accessorize with pearls and for a more fun look, I'll accessorize with red beads and red pumps.
However... what about a work look?  I am a mid-level manager so need a professional polished look.  

What color scarf would you suggest?   Links would be helpful.

By the way... I'm a young mid-50's but prefer age appropriate...

first of all that is one gorgeous dress! 
for work a statement necklace will be pretty

because the neckline is so high a higher collar level neckalace will look the prettiest and the bolder the better since it will pop against the black canvas.

a cheetah print scarf sill be pretty
or a red, jewel tone colors, bright yellow, 
or a metallic one like this
