How hard is it to find love in early 40s?

It is possible to find love at any age.

My aunt is 50 and is remarried to a great guy. They married when she and he were in their early 40s. Do not let age be a barrier for you. Think positively in that regard, if you do decide to get a divorce. Attitude is everything. Good Luck, and Best Wishes to you! :)

Wow. I don't adocate divorce but you said the only reason you're staying is bcuz u don't want 2 b alone. Not nice 4 your husband. Try & save your marriage. Anything, conciling, talking, whatever. People can & do get past this. BTW Yes I found love again. The real kind @ 43. My sister @ 53, my brother @ 47. All people deep down want to love & be loved & that doesn't change with age.

You currently have a heavy load to deal with since your marriage is in trouble; spend your energies on focusing on your situation at hand instead of worrying about down the road.

For people who are ready for a relationship (which you would not be if you divorced since it can take upwards of several years or more to heal); yes, love can be found at 40, and at any age.

Of course you can find love at any age. I have known many to find the love of their life after 40.

I'm 49 divorced having the same issue.

Easier today then it used to be, the internet makes meeting people easier.

They say it's harder with kids. I wouldn't divorce unless there was another person lined up.
