Don't you agree that God is the one who created religious misunderstandings...?

...by creating different languages at the Tower of Babel? Different languages = confusion = misunderstandings.

Therefore different opinions and point of views are allowed by God.

We are all in the same path!

Update:

Smoke, it is nice to see you grasped the concept of not doing to others what you don't want others do to you, yet you don't give merits to Jesus or to no one else for understanding that simple concept. In my opinion, as long as you get the idea, it works perfectly well for you. Jesus does not want or need the merits. I personally believe you have your own wisdom inside of you though and that is not a bad thing at all.

Update 2:

Ross, have we made up the truth or it came to us through inspiration and intuition? I believe Truth is in all religions, and in every heart that unselfishly seeks it.

IMHO God created all things spiritual, and nothing else has any reality. The ego is the tower of Babel. We created it so we could know a dualistic world, where reality is non-dualistic. The natural path of the ego is division and fractionation, and this is what destroyed the cohesion of the early world, such as it might have been. This is why it is impossible to build cohesive organizations that outlast the strong egos that conceive them.

And yes, wisdom is inside us. So is everything else.

honestly i don't think god is real.

it's all ridiculous though. it's not that being a muslim isn't ridiculous, but being a jew is.

everything is ridiculous. being a catholic is ridiculous. being a christian is ridiculous.

being a buddhist is ridiculous. being in anything is ridiculous, you're a human being.

if you attach yourself and your mind to any kind of idelogy, you're gonna be on a road.

and that road may or may not lead you in a good direction.

but you're gonna stay on that road if you're attached to an ideology. and it can be a terrible road.

it can be cirsumcising your daughter's clit because that's a tradition.

and these crazy people in africa that cut holes in their lip to stretch them out to put plates on them, why is that?

because they got on a road, and they stuck with it. reguardless of rational thinking, they didn't use rational thinking.

they're just adapted to predetermined patterns of behavior that makes life so much more simple.

and that's what every religion is. the problem is, no one knows. you cannot know.

you can have your own beautiful personal experiences, but when you start yelling and ranting that other people have to

follow your lead, or the world is gonna end, or christians are gonna be taken away, i know you're full of bs.

and you know you're full of bs. and the real problem is, we can't say it.

because everybody has this freedom of religion, religious freedom, the freedom to express yourself.

even if you're expressing yourself with absolute nonsense. nonsense that helps scare lonely, sad people

to lock on to that nonsense so they feel like they're apart of something. that's what it is.

it preys on people whose lives suck. so it's all nuts. it's not like my stuff is cool, and yours isn't.

it's not that yoga is the answer, or mushrooms are the answer, there's just questions for a lot of people.

religion can give you some inspiration, but there comes a certain point and time when you have to pop the training

wheels off. and you have to reconize that all this morality you developed is good because it's good to treat other

people good. it's good to treat other people the way you'd like people to treat yourself.

it's like the golden rule, and there's a reason for it. and that reason is that we're connected in some strange

way that we don't totally understand. and unless you are good to other people around you, unless you are

a kind, friendly, warm, loving person, you're not gonna enjoy this freaking life. you're just not.

you're gonna be problems wherever you go, and you're gonna have problems anywhere you go.

you gotta figure out a way to enjoy this life.

it's not because of jesus, it's not because of moses, it's not anybody that may or may not have ever existed.

it's because that's how you fit better in the world. that's how you stay positive.

and it doesn't have to be some bs that was written five thousand years ago on animal skins.

that doesn't have to be the golden rule because it's old. that's dumb.

No. The Tower of Babel story may be the most ludicrous in all the Bible.
