What is the 2nd best pro hockey league in the world in your opinion?

Well, there is certainly more money in the KHL then there is in any other pro league other then the NHL.

The problem with the KHL, I would argue, is that the money is concentrated among a few teams while the Swedish league tends to be more even. This isn't to say that there isn't disparity in the SEL either, but the KHL has two or three teams that seems to grab up all the top end talent (SKA St. Petersburg, Avangrad Omsk), leaving the other teams with players like Chris Simon.

I think that the KHL's top teams could probably compete in the NHL, finishing around mid-pack regularly, but I think the average KHL team is not as talented as the average SEL team.

So in other words...

Top end teams: NHL > KHL > SEL

Average team: NHL > SEL > KHL.

I would have to say the KHL, based on stats from players who have played in both the NHL and KHL, compared to the Elisterien. However the KHL and Swedish Elite League are very close.

KHL or Swedish Elite League

I believe it is the Swedish Elite League, though the KHL isn't very far behind. Sweden constantly produces NHL talent, and if their players hadn't moved to the NHL they would be even better. Out of the top 30 in NHL scoring this years, four are from the Swedish Elite League and no one is from the KHL (Alex Ovechkin played in the now defunct RSL).

The KHL is the second best pro league behind the NHL.

none. i know you asked pro, but the three major junior leagues (OHL, QMJHL, WHL), have the best hockey outside of the nhl, and sometimes even better then the nhl
