How do I delete an unwanted hotmail.co.uk account?

Please could someone advise me if it's possible and if so, how it is done? Thanks!

    You can't delete it, but you can close it. Account --> close account.

    You can just click on "close your account" That should do it - or leave it dormant and Hotmail closes it automatically after about three months!

    Click on your name, then go account and then you should find "close your account".
