"Must-have" rock albums?
I'm bored so I'm gonna ask this: What are your "must have" rock albums? I'm interested to see what people will say and maybe it will give me an idea of what albums to buy next. Any answers (as long as they are rock albums) are appreciated.
P.S. it doesn't have to be 70s rock music :)

Well, I don't know what you're into, but your handle says 70sRockFreak, so I'll limit my list to the 1970's, if you don't mind. I wouldn't say everybody "must have" these. But someone who favors 70's rock probably ought to have these (I am leaving obvious, mega-famous albums off, so I can point out a few less common ones) I'd gladly play most of these straight through millions of times.
Funkadelic - Maggot Brain (1971)
Pere Ubu - Dub Housing (1978)
Mott the Hoople - Mott (1973)
The Clash - Give Em Enough Rope (1979)
Lou Reed - Sally Can't Dance (1974)
Talking Heads - More Songs About Buildings and Food (1978)
David Bowie - Low (1977)
Television - Television (1977)
Gang of Four - Entertainment! (1979)
Can - Ege Bamyasi (1972)
Honorable Mentions:
Miles Davis - A Tribute to Jack Johnson (1971) (Should be on the first list, but you wanted rock. This is the closest to rock he ever got)
The Specials - The Specials (1979)
Patti Smith - Horses (1975)
Joni Mitchell - Four the Roses (1971)
Paul Simon - Paul Simon (1972)
Faust - IV (1973)
Guilty Pleasures:
Uriah Heep - Demons and Wizards (1972)
Jefferson Starship - Red Octopus (1975)

Back in Black by AC/DC (album)
That is an absolute must for any 70s rock fan! It has some of the greatest rock songs of the 70s.

- all of Nirvana's albums
- Metallica's first five albums
- Nine Inch Nails' first three albums
- Dookie, Insomniac, and American Idiot by Green Day
- Rust In Peace by Megadeth
These are all must-own albums, in my opinion, and I even own the actual CDs for most of them (except for a couple of Nirvana's live albums, but that's it).
