In the United States, atheism is considered equivalent to religion under the First Amendment's Free Exercise Clause. In August 2005 the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit affirmed previous Supreme Court precedent[13] by ruling atheism was equivalent to a religion for 1st amendment purposes

The equivalence is barely known in a legal experience, as in atheists have equivalent RIGHTS to their very own ideals below the 1st exchange. In a much broader, extra-encompassing definition, atheism does no longer meet the standards to be seen as a faith.

Atheism means you don't believe in god, so you could be a Buddhist atheist, since there is no diety in buddhism. So no it isn't a religion.

Its a cultural system so Yes. 
Well maybe not, but they sure do act religiously, the ones on the religion section anyway.

Yes, in a way it is a religion because atheist and agnostic are different. An atheist truly believes that everything occured from evolution and the big bang theory, whereas an agnostic is more "I dunno"

its not a religion .-. an atheist is someone who doesnt believe in any god or diety and believes in the whole big bang theory of evolution stuff  its probly considered an equivilant for i dunno free practice reason i guess ..... i dunno .-.
