Will my dentist know I was purging?

Ok so I purged for a week. For about three days I did it 2-3 times and the rest of the time I only did it once a day. I know its stupid and damaging and when I realized how many problems it can really cause I decided it wasn't worth it. I stopped doing it about a week and a half ago but I go to the dentist in ten days. I don't think the dentist will notice since I only did it for a very short time but I'm not positive and I'd like to hear what you guys think.

    Just brush your teeth.

    Get some scope or listerine.

And make sure your breath doesn't smell.

    I doubt he'll notice.

Only for a week would probably be equivilant to having a really bad stomach flu.

heyy! okay so my mom had bulimia as a teenager, and shes been to the dentist many times and none have picked up on it.

for such a short period of time that you purged the dentist wont be able to tell the difference between enamel wear from common acids such as soda and actual purging. plus you probably didn't even damage your enamel that much from the times that you did it. you dont have anything to worry about! the dentist will definitely not tell. im glad to hear you stopped! good for you:)

If it was short term vomiting, no, he will not be able to tell. It is the long term vomiting that causes damage to the tooth enamel, since stomach contents are very acidic.

Well done for stopping. There are safer and healthier ways to lose weight, so good on you.

I highly dobt it. Because you did it very little. It probably didnt damage your teeth. You should be fine as long as you dont do it again!
