When I burn a disc, it doesn't work anymore? The DVD player says wrong format?

I've been burning discs the same way all along, they used to work, now they don't. So I changed the burning software, and it still doesn't work. Why is this?

If you wanna make a DVD that will work on a standard DVD player, you will need a DVD burning tool to do this. Just copy the movie to a DVD disc, it will actually not read by DVD players.

The best and most reliable DVD burning tool that I've ever used is a tool called DVD Creator. It's able to burn all kinds of videos to DVD disc. After that, you can view the DVD on DVD player. It also lets you edit videos and create DVD menus. Easy to use and professional.

You should really give it a try. You may check out at:

    Best of luck.

If your DVDs suddenly became unreadable while you were using your old burning program then possibly the DVD drive has developed a fault. Try re-installing the driver software.

If it went wrong after you changed your burner then check the settings on your new burning software. It needs to recording in DVD, not AVI format and the disc must be Finalised or it will only be readable on a computer.

Your new program may need you to set the default to "Finalise".

Another possibility is that somehow the drive's region setting has been changed from R2 to R1 or something else that your DVD player doesn't recognise.

Hi, you can play the burned disc on another DVD player to test, if still failed, I think there's something wrong with your burned disc, maybe the burned disc isn't a standard video DVD, you need to use a better software to burn a standard video dvd to have a test, I think that maybe ok on your DVD player, you can follow me to use RZ DVD Creator, it can convert any videos or movies to standard video dvd format and burn to any dvd disc(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc), and you can play the burned standard video dvd well on your DVD player, you can yahoo or google search and download RZ DVD Creator, hope it could help you.

You don't say what software you have been trying but I have not had one single failed disc by using DVDFlick and IMGBurn. But it could be the type of discs you are using, have you changed type recently?
