Can I revert to my old operating system after installing a new one?

Hello.

I have a laptop with Vista Home Premium installed. I have the original product key. I want to install Windows XP Professional. What do I have to do to make sure I can use the product key again? I might want to reinstall Vista if I don't like XP.

    A Windows Setup key can be used as often as you like on a given piece of hardware. No problem. Just don't change so much of the hardware that Windows cannot recognize it.
