Wearing someone else's glasses makes your eyes weak?

So I just wore my dad's glasses for 30 minutes because I had some filming to do.

My eyes are 20/20.

Do you think that by wearing my dad's glasses for 30 minutes, my eye sight got weaker?

The story about wearing somone else's glasses messing up your eyes is just an urban myth, it is total hog-wash, doing that won't wreck your eyes. The worst you could do is get headaches.

Imagine: If wearing the wrong glasses could permanently change you eyes, then this technique could be used therapeutically. If someone was farsighted, give them glasses that would force them to be more nearsighted. Once the eyes shifted, their vision would be corrected.

But we never hear of this being done . . .

30 minutes isn't enough time for your eyes to change. You would need to wear them for a lot longer than a day for them to get weaker.

yes it can....but if you've only worn them for 30 mins in your whole lifetime i dont think you're gonna go blind....however avoid wearing other ppls glasses period
