I just entered this "TTC World" and here's what I've learned and am doing.
I take my temp every morning before getting out of bed (basal body temp) and chart it on a graph.
After my period ends I test for ovulation with my OPK's (ovulation predictor kit). I bought the cheap ones off amazon. It was like 10 bucks for 40 ovulation tests and 10 pregnancy ones. Since this is my first actual TTC month I'm still testing for ovulation so I can't tell you how good or bad they work for me since I haven't ovulated yet.
Have sex about every other day. We actually had to limit our sex because we have pretty high sex drives. If you have too much sex, your chances of pregnancy are lower. So try and keep it to every other day max. That way his body can make more sperm and they have a chance to mature.
Take prenatals! I bought a 250 count bottle from wal-mart and take one, once a day with my lunch.
No lube. If you need to use lube, use Preseed. Regular lube kills sperm and preeseed mimics cervical fluid during ovulation. It can be bought off amazon as well and it works great.
Enjoy your partner :) give eachother back rubs and become closer to eachother.
Eat yummy, but healthy foods! Just don't starve yourself, or become obsessed with diet.
Good luck!

The first most important thing is to track your ovulation time (typically 2 days a month) and try on thoes days especially. You can get an ovulation predictor test at any store next to the pregnancy tests, and that will help you track your ovulation and the days your most fertile. Hope this helps!

One more tip. Soon after having sex do not get up from the bed. Ask your partner to prop a pillow under your knees and lie down that way for atleast 20 mins. That helps.
