how much money will i need for back to school shopping?
so i am going into my freshman year this fall, and i am taking a trip right before school starts to go shopping (since we live in a tiny town with no good stores lol) and i was wondering... how much money would be good to bring? my parents have agreed to give me 150 dollars, and so far i have 30 of my own saved up. i'm reaching for $200 right now, but do you think i will need more?
i am planning on shopping at forever21, rue21, wet seal, charlotte russe, and hollister, but only sale items @ hollister. thank you :)

if i were you i'd skip hollister, it's too expensive and honestly, you'd just look like a clone. sale items there are still like $30. and that blows alot of your money..
if you use that money wisely, you can get enough school clothes. but jeans are like $30 a pair.
and shirts usually run around $15-$20..
then you still need (im guessing things like) shoes and tank tops and belts and etc.

You'll get more clothes for $150 at stores like Forever and Charlotte because they're cheaper - but they may not last you as long because they aren't the best quality of clothes.
It really depends what you're looking to buy. Do you want a whole new wardrobe? Or just a few cute tops and jeans to style up what you already have? Forever shirts range from $6 to $29. Jeans range from $10 - $35. So you can get quite a few pieces of clothing with $150. If I were you though I would save up some more money and shop somewhere like Express or Macy's. They always have great coupons and sales and the clothes will last you much longer. It's worth it to pay a little more.

I think that should be good...
-jeans- $20 for a new pair
-shorts- go to aero they have a sale on them, and you can get them for like $10.. theyre cute too, and abercrombie has a sale on them too!!!
-shirts- try to get a few pretty tops and a few simple things... the pretty tops will be super cute alone, and the simple stuff can go with anything and be dressed up or down with sweatpants or a sweater
-sweatpants- go to Pink? or Hollister... actually you can even buy a few pairs cheap at Target or something
-shoes- have a pair of cool sneakers, uggs or nice boots, sandals, and flipflops

what i do is go to their websites and click on all the items i want,as if i were paying for them online and see the total..than i get an estimate of what i should pay
but bring 50 extra b.c youll never know if you spot something else...it could help if you make a list like
5 jeggings
6 short sleeves
2 shoes...so on

Depends how much you plan to buy and what you're buying. For back to school shopping, I usually go over $200. (With clothes, supplies, bags)
