why does my car audio have no bass?

ok so i just bought some 6 inch kicker ks60 speakers for my car and there a 110% improvment from my last speakers but theres just no bass at all.. so how do i get some crazy bass in my car for cheap ? my freind told me at pepboys you can get a big subwoofer for 30 bucks but if i buy it idk how am i suposed to connect the wires that are in the front to the back i just havnt got a clue :(

    Check to see if the speakers you installed are out of phase. If you got the positive and negative wrong they could actually cancel each other out!

    Unplug one speaker and listen to see if there is more bass. Plug it back in, now try the other one.

    If you want some serious bass you're going to need to spend $300 installed as an absolute minimum. Most sub/amp combo's cost around $750 when you start getting into something decent.

    I should mention, there is absolutely no way to power a subwoofer without an external amp, period. Hooking one up will require some vehicle know how, but most shops can make the connections for you for about $125.
