Why would my dog have blood in her eye?

I was looking at my pug this morning and noticed there is some blood in one of her eyes, in the white part of the eye.

What could have caused there to be blood in her eye, and what can we do about it (we are trying to get in touch with the vet right now)? She does not seem to be in any pain or discomfort.

Also, yesterday we left her at the groomers. Could there be a connection?

Usually when a dogs eye bleeds, it's caused by some kind of an injury. There can be a connection with the groomer. Something may have happened while your dog was at the groomer that caused injury to her eye. The only option that you have now, is to have the vet take a look at her eye. The vet can determine whether it was caused by injury or something else. I would not let this go. Get her to a vet today and have them take a look.
