Astronomy careers that don't require a lot of math?

I'm kind of interested in astronomy, but I don't want to be an Astrophysicist or an Astrobiologist because it requires a lot of math. I don't think Astrophotography uses any advanced math, but I don't think I want to do that, either. So what other astronomy-related careers are there?

Update:

I'm not saying I don't want a career with no math, but I don't want a career that uses high-level math, either. that's beyond college-level algebra or statistics. I'm already bad at math no matter how hard I try since the concepts are hard for me to grasp. I can never get above a C grade in math.

Update 2:

you guys are skipping over the part where I said I'm bad at math no matter how hard I try. Even if I do well on the homework problems because I have my notes in front of me to guide me, I don't do well on tests because I often forget how to do the problems. It takes me longer than others to grasp anything in math. Not sure if I have a math-learning disability, but I'm very slow when it comes to math. And if I'm required to have a 3.8-4.0 GPA, that's not possible if math isn't my strong point.

You could pursue positions such as:

    > Front lobby receptionist

    > Facility maintenance

    > Grounds keeper

    > HR specialist

    > Telescope time scheduler

    > Canteen Chef

    > Observatory Manager

    > Shuttle Bus Driver

    > Observatory Librarian

    > Supernova spotter

It would seem you have lots of options. Good luck with your career.

Ok, so you just want to accept the information you are told, and not discover anything new. Is that correct? Is that what you mean by an astronomy career that doesn't require a lot of math?

Astrophotography most certainly uses a lot of math. If you look at the original images of the best astrophotography, you will not even be able to see anything interesting. All the math is put to use in determining how to enhance the image quality so the image can be useful. AND, also understanding the optics, magnification, and keeping track of celestial location.

Well, I can tell you that astrology is not science and I strongly disagree with the others here that are saying get into astrology. Astrology is an intellectual wasteland and I highly advise you no to partake in astrology. I don't think that you'll find a career in astronomy that doesn't require math, sorry. Astronomy deals with motion of celestial objects and many other things and motion. Generally the motion involved requires you to know the physics of motion and gravity which can and do get pretty complex. I don't think that there is any astronomy related career that doesn't require advanced mathematics.

I'd say there are no such careers in Astronomy. Any meaningful career will require College Level Calculus and differential Equations competence.

There may be jobs, you could perhaps find a job as a technician servicing astronomical instruments or facilities,

Even a teaching role for HS level astronomy is going to require you to have a BS in Physics and 2 years of advanced math.

My suggestion is to get serious about math.

EVERYTHING besides A.A.S. Require a lot of math. If you fear math, higher education isn't for you. Embrace It!!!!

Become an astrologist and write horoscopes. Highly doubt there's any math there. Or education for that matter...though they are weirdly accurate.
