If an employer finds a charge on your cori and hires you anyway, can he fire you later on down the line?

I was hired but I believe they kept me on because they have other employees going on vacation and don't have enough time to find someone else. They are making it clear in certain area's of conversation that they are not planning on keeping me for long. I would say after employee returns they will let me go. Is this legal and if not what can I do about it?

Sure it is legal since you are a probationary employee and can be let go without a reason being given

Unless you have a Union Contract requiring dismissal for cause only, they can fire you at anytime for no reason at all.

There is nothing you can do about it without a union.
