Even though you have seen mating they may not have been successful attempts. She will lay when she is ready to, and if she is pregnant, (actual term is gravid), She will need an area to lay, they are picky though, so the larger area she has to choose from the better.

I would suggest joining this site. It is free to do so, an a great place to ask questions. http://www.tortoiseforum.org/member.php?action=reg...

    Hi!

Amazingly, female box turtles can actually hold sperm for more than a year, so you may not see any eggs for a while!

To encourage her to lay, make sure you have a good nesting area for her - an area with deep soil is good.

    Hope that helps!

Turtles can hold the eggs till they feel is a good time to lay.

Nothing much you can do to encourage her but make her enclosure perfect.

It is highly possible your box turtle is infertile and cannot be impregnated. (Pleez best answer)
