  • Employer Employee privacy query?

In California. A supervisor calls an employee's contact number, someone answers, the employee is not there but offers to take a message, the supervisor then advices that employee missed a scheduled shift and could be fired and needs to call him.

Has a privacy law been broken here? The employee subsequently has had heated issues with the person who answered this call and a mental breakdown and ended up in the hospital.

  • Animal Shelter gave out my personal contact information to a stranger?

I applied to adopt a specific type of animal from a rescue, on the app I provided my name, address, phone, email. Months later, a animal like this turned up missing, the owner looking for the lost animal contacted that rescue, and they gave all my contact info to this stranger looking for a lost pet. (do not ask me why)

Naturally I did not have it. But I am freaked out they gave all my info to them. No police, nothing like that. I want to know if there is anything I can do to the rescue to make them remove my info and maybe even sue them in small claims because of this breach of trust. I hate to do that but what if they give it out to a wacko? I assumed my info was private.

  • Belgian Malinois too high prey drive to live with small dogs?

After some research now my friend who was considering a German Shepard is thinking more

about a Belgian Malinois because they are smaller and less likely perhaps to have any hip, joint issues later in life. What I read is they are very high energy and high prey which is why the military uses them allot now. She also has small Shih Tzus but recently lost her Mastiff and wants another

big dog to go on walks & runs with her. I am thinking those Shih Tzu's are not safe?

What if she got a puppy & raised it with them, should be ok then right?

  • Would a German Shepard be ok with small Terriers & Shih Tzus in the same house?

A friend had to put down her beloved Mastiff due to a slipped disc.

She has tiny dogs but wants another big dog to walk and be her

watchdog & buddy. Mastiffs are big but mellow.

We understand GSD have high prey drive and that's what is the concern.

I know with training most dogs are fine, but I also seen a well trained

pit bull kill its Yorkie sister out of the blue one day. Never want to

    see that risk again.

  • Dog on Dog aggression by selection?

My adult 2 yr old female Boxer is super friendly, loves people and kids especially and gets along with most dogs including our other Boxer and toy breed dogs. But at the Dog park she

is fine with most dogs, but not all, she seems to pick another dog to dominate, and then pick a fight. I did not raise her

but I can say she will pull on the leash & lunge at other dogs

when walked, at the dog park of course she has free reign and

we watch closely, and out of 10 dogs she plays there is always

one that will push her buttons and trigger her aggression and

then thats it for the day most of the time we have to leave because she will play with others but go fight with that once

she already had a moment with them. She has not got into

a bad fight, mainly its been just her knocking the other dog

onto its back and her holding him/her down. But I dont want

any fights of course. And its not same sex aggression .

Today a puppy tried to mount her and after that we had to go.
