Most coaches have plays for the zone defense and how to attack it.
Ok, I can run a short description of one, no pictures, sorry. This one is against a 2-3 zone.
Point guard brings ball up court on one of the two sides. Each side has a wing player, usually the 2 and the 3. Now, while this is happening, the 4 and 5 players are at the free throw line, each side.
Now, the point guard passes to the wing player. He prepares to get the ball in case the play doesn't fit.
Now, the people at the free throw line. If the ball goes to your side of the court, you drop towards the corner and baseline, kinda in the middle of the free throw line and the corner, but on the baseline. If the ball goes to the side you aren't on, you replace the other big man's spot on the other end of the free throw line.
Now the wing player makes a choice, pass to the 4 or 5. Baseline or Free throw. If neither are open, the wing passes back to the point.
It's a simple play, but it's one of those if you have no other options, it works.
The problem searching for "Plays against a zone defense" is that there are several zone defenses. You must be prepared for most of them, if not all.

Ok, the guy who told you to run flex is retarded. Flex is designed for a man to man defense. 1-3-1 or a 2-3 defense is what you will face. To beat that, you have to set good screens for jumpers and to over load a side to draw a defense to one side of a court. While to defense is over on one side it leaves the other side open and gives time for a jumper. It's what the San Antonio Spurs do well. I played basketball from 6th grade all the way till I graduated. That and im also coaching this year. The same age group infact. If you have any questions about basketball plays let me know.
