I had a violation on Y!A, how to know what it is?

Hi.

I just connected on my Y!A and I saw in my activity I had a violation. I'd like to know what it is, but when I click, it says the question was deleted. Is there a way to know why my answer got a violation?

yes when you get the dreaded "violation notice" in your letter box.It says "The answers community has reported a question/answer" what has happened is some-one who hates you has just reported you, perhaps for a trivial thing.

I am in a better mood tonight because I had an appeal allowed this morning! So it shows it can be done. It was an answer that was slightly critical of the reporting system,so its extra impressive. This notice usually tells you what your post was and the rule you have broken. There is a link to an appeal form. You can give a reason for appeal, but you dont have to do. If its border line its best to say why you think it was wrong to delete it. Sometimes you dont get a notice.

Check you mail box for a violation notice which should explain what it was for.

If you are talking about it happening in the last few minutes, it can take from a few minutes or for as long as 30 minutes to appear, as it works faster here, than by the mail.

The violation notice you receive will be very general. If you want to know what the violation was post a sample for us to see.
