Smoking a cigarette maybe 5 a week?

I just wanted to know the effects of smoking a cigarette maybe once a day. I can't help it when im drinking.. I know its bad for you but I just love it. If I could stop I really would. I feel guilty about smoking. I know a cigarette is a cigarette and none is better than one but I was just wondering... you see those picture on the labels and do those happen to people who smoke a pack a day or one a day? Any feedback would be appriciated but I would also appriciate if people didnt start saying quit immidiatly and so on because belive me I want to.

Every cigarette is harmful in some degree. You say maybe 5 cigarettes a week but that becomes 260 cigarettes per year which is the equivalent of about 10 and half large packs of smokes. It all adds up and you just need to prioritize and figure out which is worth more to you...that cigarette after a drink, or your health and future.

As far as the pictures on the labels, yes, that can most definitely happen to you. Those things can happen to people who simply experience second-hand smoke and never touch the things themselves so of course it can happen to you. I know it can be very hard to resist the temptation but you need to put things in perspective and put yourself in the right frame of mind. If you truly want to quit, through and through, you just will.

The more you smoke, the bigger the risk, but it isn't a straight line.

    ANY smoking increases your risk.

The difference between 1 cigarette and 10 isn't as much as the difference between none and one.

The next best advice I could give you is to check into a facility where there is a non smoking facility. Pretty much mostly everywhere has it like that. It is your responsibility to stop smoking not mine or any body's else. i am sorry if I offended you. good luck
