tongue piercing healing question?

my swelling is going down so tomorrow i'll change the bar to a shorter one. is there a chance that the swelling might come back from changing the bar or from trauma? do i have to use the longer bar again if so?

How long have you had the piercing? Yes, there's a cahnce the trauma will cause it to swell again, in which case you would have to change back to ther longer bar to prevent any kind of embedding.

This is just my opinion but unless the long bar is particularily annoying or you risk chipping your teeth, I'd leave it in for another few weeks and then swap it.

The swelling will most likely not come back, but there is a chance that it will. If you are comfortable changing the bar to a smaller one than i recommend it because the long bar is just plain annoying. As long as it has been at least a week then change the bar.
