if US Congress does not pass the budget by next monday.....what will the Dow be at the day after?

If you live in another contry,......where will your national stock index be at ???

Please note most of the global markets was off by a whole percentage point.

    The current situation is about the Federal Debt limit ceiling and not the budget.

    When the government hits the ceiling they no longer have the ability to borrow.

    I heard one pundit saying he thought failure to pass an increase by Aug 2 could drop the markets by 3%-5%.

    EU just started shaking off the crisis and if the US goes down, all world markets will as well.

    They (US government) will approve the elevated debt ceiling - i don't think they would allow us economy to go to gutters

    I'd go even higher then Thor above

    Around the $12,000 mark... I really don't mess with the Dow anymore. Commodities like gold and silver are the way forward.
