I hate the political phases "pay their fair share", and "take our country back". They both annoy me to no end!?

What are the political phases or words YOU hear that send up your BS detector?

For some, it could be anytime a politician speaks, but pick out some of your favorites!!

Thanks!

Right now I'm most annoyed at the folks who are saying that the August 2 deadline doesn't matter.

It does. And unfortunately, they're going to be the first ones to be upset at the consequences.

Oh, and the person above who said "we don't have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem" -- that's one of my biggies. Unlike a family, which has to decide how to live on the wages it earns, the government must first decide what needs to be done and then raise the revenues to pay for that.

How many people remember the first Reagan tax increase in 1982? What about the 2 or 3 other tax increases during the Reagan administration?

    Hope and Change

    Was an annoying one

Everyone had hope, some people didnt really want the change, they were fine with the US as it has been for 200 + years.

"Held hostage" - heard that one about the debt crisis a thousand times

    Tea Party Extremists.

I don't know how you were raised but in my family it was expected that you don't spend money you don't have.

This is hardly a new or radical idea. It's called acting responsibly.

Neither a borrower nor a lender be,

For loan oft loses both itself and friend,

And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry.

Fine, but if the rich would pay their fair share there would be no necessity to take the country back from Bushie/TP types.

My BS detector goes off every time a TP/G0P extremist starts talking about the Constitution. They haven't read it and don't understand it.

Yeah, Obama says that as a short-cut to thinking...'eat your peas', 'my wife is a horse', pay their fair share', etc.

I hate the phrase "increase revenues".

We don't have a revenue problem. We have a SPENDING problem.

Our revenues should be at 0% - we don't need them.

If you are "annoyed to no end" by PHRASES, perhaps it's time to evaluate your emotional state...
