Could someone please explain to me exactly how the conservatives plan on bringing revenue?
to our country? All the cuts will do for years to come, is pay down our debt, not help our revenue, as far as I can see.
How have they explained that letting G.E. among others pay no taxes, & allowing them loopholes will then help our economy & job crisis, if it has already been this way forever & things still get worse each year?
Aren't we, in effect actually hurting the economy by allowing big business corporations to get away with paying no yearly taxes? Money that could go into our revenue?
How are we supposed to create jobs for Americans when there are no jobs here for them because a good amount of them have been sent overseas?
Thanks for any insight I may have missed on this subject.
I just wanted to add that I do agree that there is too much government waste when it comes to paying for businesses that don't need 17 other off shoots of it also.
I don't understand why they don't try fixing these problems before going after personal individual Americans by cutting the very little income they already receive, which many had paid into already and were promised it when they began.
Why is it more important, it seems to ensure the needs of the big corporations over the needs of struggling Americans?
FACTS: Are you then stating that the only way to encourage these businesses to open up and start hiring new employees is to get rid of agencies designed to make sure they stay on the up and level and basically lower the standards and possibly ethics that these jobs should be held accountable to?
You do realize that these so called "entitlement" programs are actually people on Social Security who are mostly too old to work or disabled to the point that they can't or shouldn't work? How exactly are these people supposed to seek at their ages any job that can possibly sustain them, or a person with disabilities who doesn't have the ability to get a job that would also sustain them? You are basically asking for the impossible.

Well in my opinion the cons are using this opportunity to attack social security and medicare spending. WHich is why you hear the word "spending cuts". A spending cut does not mean a deficit cut or a debt cut. They are 3 different things. First it's important to note that social security spending is less than social security revenues. If we cut out social security spending and revenues, our deficit is actually the same. The excess social security revenues from FICA are used to buy treasury bonds, and today trillions are held by social security in US debt. Meaning that Social Security owns more of the US debt than China. The goal of the GOP is to keep the FICA tax in place which is big, it's more money than the IRS collects from businesses and individuals. Check your tax statement and you'll see at the end of the year you probably pay 4 x the FICA tax than the adjusted individual revenue.
What's interesting is the GOP typically attacks the spending by including social security, but when they discuss taxes they leave out FICA tax and try to explain that the rich (top 3% pay about 50% of the taxes). Not true, the middle class pay about 99% of the taxes if you count all taxes and revenues including FICA, gas tax, FAA tax, TSA tax, etc.

You seem confused. First GE didn't pay taxes under a liberal government of socialists/marxists/ and a few democrats. Conservatives were minorities in every chamber. So blaming conservatives seems rather silly.
Jobs are like water. They seek the path of least resistance. We hired a union thug as president with their thug tactics and look what happens. All the jobs went to where laws, restrictions, and wages allow for a company to remain viable. What company can remain viable with rubber rooms of able bodied employees sitting around all day playing cards and recieving full pay and benefits. Yea, that happens everywhere. Ha Ha...
Don't fear. Opening manufacturing in China or overseas is not without expense. Every manufacturer understands the value of quality. This is something that currently many countries cannot deliver. Warranty rates and lost customers are far more expensive than just the faulty part. In addition countries like China require tributes to build in their country. It is almost (but not quite) as bad as Chicago or New York. The nice part about them is that their extortion is open. Here it is all done behind closed doors.
We have so much regulation in this country that it makes it almost impossible to expand. I do not subscribe to elimination of regulatory agencies but they should be parters to business to help them follow the regulations instead of police with an axe to grind and working to ensure failure. We need government to appreciate the risk of capital investment and embrace that investment by assisting instead of being road blocks. See Oil, Coal, or any business without a union.

Less regulation creates jobs.
Less entitlements encourages people to get jobs.
More jobs create more personal spending and revenue.
More revenue creates more jobs.
Less fear of government intervention creates job.
More people employed increases tax revenue
In other words give people a reason to work and create

this is so simple even you could understand it.....you don't need higher taxes...you need more taxpayers....so if you reduce the unemployment number....you increase the number of workers paying taxes....but the people have to be employed in the private sector...not govt jobs.....thus you increase tax revenue, and cut spending, because these people are no longer taking federal monies.....

They think that cutting spending alone will do it, but they had a full republican government for many years in the last decade and they got not one balanced budget with the Bush Tax Rates

CUT SPENDING and use the money you save on useless crap to fund necessary operations. This includes cutting off the money supply to NATO and the UN for military operations we don't need to be in, this includes welfare expenditures, both corporate and individual and it includes getting rid of the more anal of the regulations that are offshoots from the big ones that are indeed needed.
That is the DISCONNECT that liberals cannot plug into their brains for whatever reason.

No company in the world pays taxes, they merely collect them from their customers.

They believe in magic. That's the only thing I can figure out. That somehow only spending less will magically get rid of the deficit and even the debt.

The point sweetheart is there is enough government waste and fraud to pay down the debt without raising taxes.
We should try that first before doing so.

On the contrary to what many say, government has a spending problem as opposed to bringing in larger "revenue".
