How many people here believe the earth is 6,000 years old?

Do you believe the earth is approximately 6,000 years old? If so, what do you have to say about fossils and all of the other things that say the earth is a few billions of years old?

I don't but I believe the "Young Earth" fundamentalists believe the radioactive decay rates used to measure the age of ancient things are not constant and thus challenge the validity of scientifically-accepted radiometric methods.

That is they say the scientific methods used to measure the age of things are invalid.

Yes, the earth is at least 6,000 years old. And probably not more than 10,000 years old.

I have seen no reason to think it is older than that. I believe that God, the Creator of all things, who spoke the universe into existence, created a mature universe.

Hopefully not many. There's no verifiable evidence that the earth is 6000 years old and much evidence that it is billions of years old.

I've seen a few Poes claim that. There's no telling who actually believed it though. This is kind of the internet.

Hopefully nobody, as both science and the bible say it is older than that.
