Calcium is found in Blackstrap molasses, Collard greens, Tofu, Soymilk, Soy yogurt, Turnip greens, Tofu, Tempeh, Kale, Soybeans, Okra, Bok choy, Mustard greens, Tahini, Broccoli, and Almonds.
Since excessive protein consumption prevents the absorption of calcium, and sodas cause calcium to be leeched from the bones, most people with a "standard diet" have greater calcium needs than do vegans.
After all, people in the U.S. consume greater amounts of calcium today, than ever before, yet osteoporosis is on the rise. Children get more calcium than ever before, yet pulpotomies (pediatric root canals) are becoming quite common. These problems are likely the result of poor digestion (too many processed foods and medications, too little produce) and thus poor assimilation of nutrients.

A lot of foods are fortified with calcium already. You should check the label on the foods you usually eat and then try to eat more of the things that have the most calcium in them, so you won't have such a drastic change in your diet.
If you do want to add different foods, dairy products (cheese, yogurt, ice cream, pudding, etc), broccoli, and again anything calcium fortified would be good.

Hairdresser? Calcium is a mineral that is used to build your teeth and bones. If you're not getting enough to build and maintain strong bones, you could wind up a shriveled little old lady with broken hips. We build bones until we're about 30, then many of us start losing more than we can build. This lady was a veg*n for about ten years and, at 27, has already lost over an inch in height. Bad bones can be a very serious problem that you'll live with for the rest of your life.

Your best source of calcium is cows milk. It's the most easily absorbed. If you're lactose intolerant, it's available in most supermarkets with the lactose removed (Lactaid). Or milk products like butter, sour cream, ice cream, cheese. Just read the labels and be sure they contain milk. Or take a good calcium supplement. Be sure it also includes vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) to help your body absorb the calcium.
Some veggies contain calcium. But it's not nearly as well absorbed by your body as calcium in milk. Some veggies (including soy and spinach) contain oxalates which inhibit your bodys ability to absorb calcium....and iron.

you can eat:
Yogurt, plain
Yogurt, fruit
Cheese, including American, ricotta, cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese

EATING CHEESE doesn't mean cheese gives a lot of calcium it gives only a little calcium.
