Well I don't really know your style so I can't really recommend what shoes to get. A sporty or casual person should get 2 or 3 pairs of tennis shoes (probably nikes or converse) a couple of sandals and flip flops (old navy), maybe one or two pairs of flats, comfy winter boots or mocs (uggs) and boat shoes. A more dressy person I say get flats, wedges, a few heels (for special occasions), sweater boots, ankle booties, sandals and one pair of tennis shoes. Or you may be a mix of both. Or you may be a shoe freak (like me) and get alot of different shoes that you like. Brands/stores I go for shoes:
Coach (I like their wedges and tennis shoes)
Payless (I go their for flats, sandals, wedges and heels- they are very cheap and always have a sale)
Tj Maxx (endless variety of cheap designer shoes)
Forever21 (I go their for basically any shoe)
Wet Seal (again anything)
Uggs (for winter boots, although try to stay away from the brown because they are out this year. Go for like sweater boots)
Old Navy (Alot of different colors of flip flops)
Converse (for the days I feel like being more "rockier" style)
Jouney's (anything)
The Buckle (Sandals and wedges)

Flats are somewhat in style right now, but they're so last season. Try something new. Gladiator sandals, wedges, Rainbows, or just some funky retro Nike's.
